Mark Is One of the Kindest Men I've Ever Met

The Wife Who Just Can't Stop Smiling

DIANE THATCHER looked incredibly tranquil and untroubled yesterday for the wife of a man held under house arrest on charges of helping to finance an African coup. While Sir Mark Thatcher tensely stalked the grounds of the couple's Pounds 2 million mansion in Cape Town, effectively a prisoner until he comes up with Pounds 180,000 bail money, she has been quietly preparing to fly back to her home town of Dallas with their children Michael, 15, and Amanda, 11.
