'I'd like to confess to being trapped in an obsessive-phobic relationship with sleep. The mere mention of the word evokes crisp white sheets, soft pillows and a deep sense of longing. Even writing this sentence makes me ache to pull my duvet up to my chin. I can't do without it. Yet I loathe being told that I need so much of it.
