DOWNTON Abbey's creator Julian Fellowes has hit out at critics of adverts, saying they are not a 'hideous evil' and gave him the freedom to make the show.
Fans are using internet message boards to demand ITV stops 'spoiling' Downton with long advert breaks. But Tory peer Fellowes told the House of Lords on Friday that Downton would not have been as good if he had made it for the BBC.See the full content of this document
