Sony's NEX-5 is the first compact camera with interchangeable lenses. It's complicated AND small: the worst of both worlds. You'd expect amateurs to regard it with suspicion bordering on terror and 'serious' photographers to sneer at it as a jumped-up happy snapper, barely fit to share bag space with their precious SLRs.
Never in the history of photography has so much lens been screwed onto so little camera. The NEX-5 is minuscule - like a Sony compact but with a Cokecan-sized lens on the front.
