WIMBLEDON 2006 From Monday, BBC1 2 With any luck, no one's told Tim Henman that his tennis destiny is tied to the progress of the England team in Germany. With the nation's gaze averted from the lawns of SW19 and fully focused on the World Cup, expectations are at an all-time low for Tim and his ever-receding chances of winning Wimbledon. After year upon year of watching him succumb to the intolerable pressures of Henmania, we've already given up on him anyway...

so now he can go on and win it. The longer Becks and co stay in the World Cup, the further Tim advances at Wimbledon and come July 9 we'll all be celebrating the glorious end of 40 years of football hurt and 70 years of tennis agony.
