THE Government has delayed a controversial decision on decommissioning nuclear submarines until after the General Election to avoid losing votes, it was claimed last night.
Seven of the Royal Navy's 15 nuclear subs are to be dismantled in the next six years and there have been protests from locals at sites where it was planned to store the radioactive material.
