GORDON D'ARCY came through a full 80 minutes at inside centre for a winning Leinster in Wales to increase his chances of nailing down a starting spot in Declan Kidney's Ireland side for next weekend's Six Nations clash with England.

D'Arcy's recent outings for his province since his return to action following his long injury lay-off had all come on the wing, but his efforts last night in the middle will give him confidence that he can challenge Paddy Wallace for the No12 Test shirt when Kidney sits down to select his side next Tuesday.
