A formerly sleepy, pleasant town, famous for its typically Balkan wood and stone-fortified houses, it has been systematically plundered by speculative developers who are hurling up holiday apartment blocks without a thought for the town's infrastructure, and very little regard to demand, writes Sebastian O'Kelly.
