BRITISH cycling's technical supremo, Chris Boardman, says new rules should not stop Team GB's dominance of the sport after a leading official claimed their use of hi-tech bikes in Beijing was contrary to the Olympic spirit.

Former Olympic gold medallist Boardman, now British Cycling's head of research and development, is trying to set up a meeting next month with Jean Wauthier, technical adviser to the world governing body, the UCI, to clarify new regulations which appear to demand that he shares the secrets of the all-conquering team's bikes.
