Summary
It is a well-worn clichE of the psychology trade that there is no such thing as a joke. Every larky word or action we aim at another person is therefore in some ways an act of barely masked aggression. So, armed with the persistent rumours that the gals from Desperate Housewives never really managed to achieve their onscreen levels of girlie bonding off the set, we should perhaps take this little tug- of-war between NICOLLETTE SHERIDAN and FELICITY HUFFMAN a tad more seriously than it looks. Uncharacteristically, Nicollette appears keen to keep away from the cameras (perhaps because she seems to be sporting a strip of carpet samples around her neck) but Felicity clearly has other ideas. Felicity's open-mouthed smile suggests teasing and fun but it's not mirrored by Nicollette's face, and that double-handed grip she's applied to her co-star's arm looks borderline lethal, prompting a line of bulging muscles along her forearm.
Felicity's feet are fixed firmly to the floor to ensure she wins this tug-of-war. But the real signs of anger-alert come from the damage she's inflicting on the arm of Nicollette's coat.See the full content of this document
