Summary
THERE are reckoned to be 7.3 million dogs in Britain and taking Fido for a wander to your nearest local seems like a good deal, for both owner and pooch. Except that these days bringing a dog into a pub is often frowned upon (perhaps due to the risk of muddy pawprints or, worse, customers being bitten).
So full marks to Alisdair Aird and Fiona Stapley, who have produced the Good Guide To Dog Friendly Pubs, Hotels And B& Bs (Ebury Press, Pounds 9.99), which lists more than 1,000 places for 'you and your dog to enjoy'.See the full content of this document
