THE founder of Global Draw, the company behind the fixed-odds betting terminals that took bookmakers by storm when they were launched eight years ago, has hit the jackpot with a Pounds 6 million payday.
Former bookmaker Steve Frater, who founded Global Draw in 1998 from a workshop in London with business partner Walter Grubmuller, was paid Pounds 6.1 million last year, up from just Pounds 186,000 in 2007, with a further Pounds 115,396 paid into his pension scheme.
