I have just returned from a visit to Turkey and I can confidently say that the Prime Minister does not know what he is talking about when he urges Turkish membership of the eu. he is both out-of-date and wrong. Turkey's grim, Islamist government is more interested in links with Teheran and damascus than in Brussels, anyway.
