UNIVERSITIES are no longer mere seats of learning but are nurturing successful young businesses as more companies spin out from higher education 'hothouses'.
The number of companies with links to universities and colleges is rising, says the latest Higher Education Business and Community Interaction report. It shows the life of these companies is increasing, with the number of spin-offs still in business after three years rising from 592 in 2005 to 669 last year.See the full content of this document
