Sandwiched between Hayes and Heathrow, and with an Uxbridge postcode, Tony and Charlotte Heathcote's four-bedroom house may not have the most promising of addresses. But tucked away behind a retail park in Yeading, Willow Tree Marina, on the Paddington arm of the Grand Union Canal, seems to be miles away from the tawdry sprawl of its surroundings.
'It's unique. I call it an oasis because it's so quiet,' says Tony, looking out to the multicoloured narrow boats crowded in the marina at the bottom of his garden. 'It's like being in the middle of the countryside even though we're only 20 minutes from town.See the full content of this document
