JUST like Andy Murray, Britain's top golfer will go into the only major championship on home soil ranked No 3 in the world and with high hopes of ending a barren run for the host nation. The pressures on Paul Casey may not be quite as demanding as those on the tennis- playing Scot -- it is only a decade since Paul Lawrie lifted the Auld Claret Jug, rather than the 73 years since Britain had a men's champion at Wimbledon. But Casey is just as willing to accept that this is his time to deliver.

At 31, Casey is at his peak -- the only top professional, alongside Tiger Woods, to have won three events this year, with victories at Abu Dhabi, Houston and Wentworth. Headed only by Woods and Phil Mickelson in the rankings, he has become a big player on the world scene.
