THE Champions League could yet be thrown into chaos because of the doping violation committed by CSKA Moscow, after two of their players tested positive for the stimulant pseudoephedrine following their group stage draw with Manchester United at Old Trafford.

UEFA imposed a one-match ban on Sergei Ignashevich and Aleksei Berezutski for breaking anti-doping rules after their team doctor failed to declare that the pair had taken the cold medicine Sudafed before the game but declined to throw the club out of the tournament.
