IF IT wasn't for their under-21s, Clare would be in the depths of despair right now. Going through the league and championship, nine games in all, without a win is just unacceptable and Mike McNamara's tenure is now seriously under threat.

Wexford's summer also ended last weekend but Colm Bonnar is still in his first year and has to be given the benefit of the doubt. McNamara, though, has had long enough to put his stamp on this team.
