Poor Clegg has recently been called an Alastair Campbell lookalike, an egregious insult for any politician. Actually, he has far softer features and a pleasantly impertinent nose reminiscent of William Holden's, beneath a cowlick of pale amber hair.

'Do you really think I am sexy?' Clegg is highly gruntled. Shortly, however, he begins to emanate anxiety. 'Do you mean sexy per se, or just sexier than Alastair Campbell? I was outraged to be compared to Campbell.' 'Sexy per se, of course,' I say insinuatingly.
