GIVEN that they have just secured a 30-18 victory over their arch- rivals, the Glasgow Warriors camp has been surprisingly subdued this week.

This is not due to a delayed onslaught of Christmas humbug fever, but because players and coaches at the club are acutely aware that an Edinburgh backlash today is almost inevitable. Two seasons ago, Glasgow were in the same boat as Rob Moffat's men are currently and the memory of how they harnessed the pain of a 39-6 defeat at Murrayfield on Boxing Day 2008, and used it to strike back with a 25- 20 victory over the same opposition just seven short days later, means that there is no danger of the Warriors falling into a complacency trap.
