Arecord 1.65 million Britons are expected to take a cruise this year - more than seven per cent up on the total for 2009.

And by the end of the year 14 new ships will have joined the cruise market in 2010 - including P&O Cruises' Azura, Cunard Line's Queen Elizabeth, Norwegian Cruise Line's Epic and Celebrity Cruises' Celebrity Eclipse, with a further 16 due to launch by the end of 2012.
