D. H. T. writes: Experian disclosed my credit file to a third party who then fraudulently used my MBNA credit card. They told MBNA I had moved house so my statements went to the false address. I only discovered this when I was rejected for a Tesco credit card and advised to contact Experian. Tesco has since allowed me a card but I believe Experian still has the wrong information on my file.
EXPERIAN is in a tricky position. The credit reference agency must allow people to check their own credit file, but on the other hand it must do its best to avoid releasing the file to the wrong person.See the full content of this document
