Picture it 6.30pm on a damp Wednesday in October in La Casa del Habano, a cigar bar in the centre of London's Soho. A group of men are ensconced in leather armchairs enjoying Cuba's finest rums and cigars. But these are not the strawberry-nosed old duffers you might expect to be indulging at an hour when the office photocopiers are still cooling down; not only do some of them look too young to be appreciating a Pounds 30 Cohiba Esplendido others actually look too young to contemplate half a cigarette behind the bike shed.

On closer inspection, however, it is clear the clientele is not really that young; the guys are probably between their early thirties and early forties.

All radiate that healthy, unselfconscious aura that comes from having time to themselves and knowing what to do with it.

Because these are successful men who clearly believe that life is for loving, not just living, and that their disposable income is not for paying into pension schemes or budget ...
