Every Tuesday in August, Vergt holds a night market. The venue moves between the town's three squares, giving an equal slice of the economic pie to all the small bars and businesses.

The 'marches nocturnes' are times when the French gather together, drinking and eating outside until the small hours. Babies and toddlers play games beneath tables or stare blearily at the rows of fairy lights twinkling above each stall.
