THE Justice Minister has admitted he understands the public's frustration at the delay in dealing with those behind the banking crisis.

Mr Ahern told the Irish Mail on Sunday: 'I, as Minister, am very conscious of the need in this regard to bring everyone to justice that has committed a crime. It is my strong desire.' And he pledged: 'Be sure - we will do whatever needs to be done.' The minister said that the Garda fraud squad had taken statements from a number of key players in the Anglo Irish Bank affair, as part of a probe that now spans several nations.
