LEADING accountancy group Deloitte Touche is being sued for defamation by a City tax solicitor who claims one of its partners falsely branded him as dishonest.
Paul Baxendale-Walker has filed a claim against Deloitte and Aidan Langley, alleging Langley told potential clients: 'In the Press you will see he [Baxendale-Walker] is under investigation by the Serious Fraud Office at the moment.' It claims Langley said Baxendale-Walker would advise clients to mislead the Inland Revenue. It alleges Langley said: 'I would not have anything to do with that man.'
