ENGLAND slumped to the third-lowest Test score in their history as they were humiliated by West Indies in Andrew Strauss's first Test back as captain.

They lost by an innings and 23 runs, after being bowled out in the second innings for 51 in Jamaica, and the skipper admitted: 'We were outplayed. The bowlers stuck to their task well in tough conditions but we batted very poorly and paid the price.'
