Archie Hunter is the first to admit that the house he built is imperfect, but that explains much of its charm. Built in the Scottish countryside, it is made entirely from scraps and salvage, and looks as though it has slowly grown over the centuries, rather than being a self-build project that was only completed in December 2006.
