BRITISH regulators are trying to strike an international 'peace deal' to spare companies having to comply with complex and overlapping accounting standards.

The Financial Reporting Council (FRC) is taking the lead in trying to thrash out an agreement on which body sets which standard, cutting out the current duplication.
