ONLY a couple of weeks ago, Sean Connery called for a cease-fire between the Press and La-Laland. It has to be said that the venerable 007, though respected by some, isn't taken too seriously by most of his ain folk any more, so his musings were widely ignored or roundly ridiculed.

He was speaking of the perceived rough coverage handed out to our artists, politicians and luminaries in general. He may or may not have a point but there are certainly some parallels around in Scottish football at the moment.
