THIS week's Leaving Cert disaster is without rhyme or reason. I hope the truth will out as to how, in this day and age, such a mess could have happened. Once again, we have become a laughing stock and an exam that is recognised throughout the world - it has even been adopted for use in other countries - has been undermined. That's the long and the short of it.
Having not slept one wink, students simply made a virtue out of a necessity and got down to English Paper Two yesterday. While, of course, foul play is not suspected, it is surely high time that the Department of Education and Science said good riddance to old technology and embraced the 21st century.See the full content of this document
