STEVEN GERRARD is set to be named as Englands captain for Wednesdays friendly against Switzerland, but Fabio Capello will keep current skipper John Terry in limbo for seven months before making a permanent appointment.
Gerrard, who was yesterday voted Nationwide England Player of the Year in a poll of fans, is likely to get the nod in the absence of the injured Terry this week as Capello last night reduced his original squad from 30 to 23.See the full content of this document
