THE Government was under growing pressure in the row over doctors' appointments last night after The Mail on Sunday obtained figures showing that the problem is more widespread than Ministers admit.

The Department of Health claims only 3.6 per cent of GP surgeries last month 300 practices in England were refusing to allow patients to book more than two days ahead.
