PAUL MURRAY looked a picture of mirth yesterday as his first goal since joining Gretna in the summer secured only their third victory of the SPL season. It was shortly after the interval at Fir Park that the midfielder struck spectacularly from outside the box, Kenny Deuchar having scored beforehand with a near replica of his header in midweek.
Feckless Falkirk, unbeaten in their previous seven games, could find no way back, although Graham Barrett was convinced he should have had a penalty when challenged by Chris Innes. But Gretnas joy at the outcome was tempered by the late injury scare involving Fabian Yantorno which helped account for the referee adding seven minutes of stoppage time.
