JOHN HARTSON last night demanded a conclusion to his Parkhead contract split because he fears it is about to inflict serious damage on his Celtic performances.

The powerful striker has yet to be offered a fresh deal by the club, despite the fact that his present agreement expires in June, and was invited last week by manager Martin O'Neill to prove his fitness before talks can begin.
