Health Firms Seek Deal with Nhs

Summary


The bosses of Britain's four major private healthcare groups - Southern Cross, The Priory, Four Seasons and Barchester Healthcare - will this week hold talks in Downing Street with the Government's health adviser, Sean Worth.

The firms have 10,000 empty beds and hope the Government will consider partnerships that could relieve pressure on the NHS, saving up to Pounds 1 billion of taxpayers' money each year.
