WHEN ALL this is over for David Heaney there will be no announcement or goodbye. He'll slip away in the depths of this year's winter, or the next one, and that will be that. All-Ireland medal or not, his relationship with football will come to a grinding halt. And you won't see him for dust.
He's comfortable talking about putting himself out to pasture. He's been looking forward to it for quite some time.
