Believe it or not, The Metropolitan, London's first boutique hotel, celebrates its tenth birthday this year. It's hard for me not to remember, since I was very nearly punched on the nose by a famous chef five years ago at a party to celebrate its fifth birthday.I'm not bragging (either about the fact that I was invited to the party or that Giorgio Locatelli wanted to smack me).
