HSBC has been accused by campaigners of cutting its branch network by stealth.

Financial Mail, which last week revealed that Clydesdale and Yorkshire banks owner National Australia Bank was axing 100 of its 449 branches, has discovered that HSBC has served closure notices on ten of its branches.
