RESIDENTS of about 100 homes fled another wildfire in southern California yesterday, only weeks after the area was devastated by a spate of windfuelled blazes that left ten dead.

The hills above Malibu were evacuated as more than 250 acres of brush burned, fanned by a return of the dry Santa Ana wind.
