N. M. writes: My wife's father died in December last year and I became his executor. Among his savings were Nationwide fixed- interest bonds due to mature over the following 23 months. The beneficiaries agreed with me that as the interest rates were very favourable, the bonds should run their course.
However, Nationwide closed them anyway, without any instructions from me.
