READING your article on how foreign students are exempt from the HPAT medical exam (August 30), I was wondering if our ministers should sit an exam before they are allowed to run for public office.

Then I read Minister Harney's comments on CNN about how the Irish health system was doing well and I decided there and then that everybody in both the Dail and Seanad should definitely have a compulsory IQ test.
