Summary


Forget nagging wives: these days, it's nagging parents who rule the roost. On Coronation Street, it used to be only mothers who did the nagging, but now the men are just as likely to be on the attack. Take Owen, who has not only physically morphed into dead Charlie, but seems to have absorbed his less appealing personality traits, too.

First, daughter Izzy bore the brunt of his verbal attacks; next, it was younger child Katy, just because she was dating Chesney. This week, Owen succeeded in persuading their landlord to evict the young lovers by refusing to be their guarantor, but then Izzy saved the day (cue more rowing between Owen and his kids next week, I suspect).
