A BUILDING firm being sued by Oscar-winning film director Jim Sheridan over the waterproofing of his Dalkey home is in liquidation and its boss has died of cancer, the Irish Mail on Sunday can reveal.

Sheridan and his wife Fran are suing Gilmac, a building company based in London, and seven other engineering and architectural companies over works they claim caused E2m worth of water damage to their seafront home.
