Summary
WHATEVER frisson the Government's job initiative created is by now well and truly spent. The pilfering of private pensions to fund the scheme is a worrying precedent but, although it has alienated opinion right across the ideological divide, many people would be placated if they thought there was a realistic possibility of creating genuine employment.
But the news that the services of FAS were, in recent years, an actual barrier to employment and that people who relied on their own devices to get work fared better than those who leaned on the State company hardly instils confidence.See the full content of this document
