THE decision to award Jonathan Ross an OBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours was slammed as a 'disgrace' last night by broadcasting watchdogs.

As 44-year-old Ross celebrated his OBE by playing the Sex Pistols' God Save The Queen as the first song on his Radio 2 show yesterday, critics pointed to the number of complaints made about his on-air remarks to illustrate the increasing absurdity of the honours system.
