Summary
Kami Thompson was born in 1983, just after her parents, British folk-rockers Richard and Linda, split. If it sounds as if she was born under a bad sign, her debut album backs up the story.
It aims roughly for what she calls the 'excellent misery' of her father's songs. Her mournful timbre and stark guitars ensure hers are miserable, if not quite excellent yet.
