APPRENTICE jockey Frankie McDonald produced the biggest win of his short but highly promising career yesterday, when taking the Pounds 78,000 first prize on 11-2 chance Siena Gold in the Weatherby's Super Sprint at Newbury.
The 22-year-old, from County Cavan in Ireland, sat on a horse for the first time only five years ago but showed plenty of class as he brought home the Brian Meehan-trained filly by three quarters of a length, ahead of 9-2 favourite Don't Tell Mum with Bond City the same distance back in third.See the full content of this document
