FINANCE MINISTER Brian Lenihan has launched a scathing attack on RTE's reporting of our economic crisis, accusing it of being 'totally irresponsible' and spouting 'nonsense'.

Mr Lenihan pointed out that no heads had rolled over the station's IMF debacle, where the broadcaster incorrectly reported the Taoiseach as saying that the IMF may have to move in to rescue the country.
