I don't understand the casting of American Anne Hathaway in the film adaptation of One Day especially if, as reports say, she can't do the Yorkshire accent needed for the part.

Jim Sturgess is perfectly cast as the male lead Dexter. But while I have nothing against Hathaway as an actress, they'd have been much better off picking someone more unknown.
